One low Monthly Fee. Unlimited Access. Real Care.

What is Direct Primary care?

Direct Primary Care (DPC) is actually a very simple model. Your exams, medication refills, sick visits, and more are provided for a low, predictable, and FSA/HSA eligible monthly membership fee- without billing insurance.

Benefits of DPC membership:

  • Longer appointments- we are not bound by 7-15 minute insurance rules; most appointments are between 30-60 minutes.
  • Unlimited access- Ability to text or have virtual visits for questions or needs in between in-person visits.
  • Timely appointments- generally able to have same or next-day appointments during the week.
  • Direct communication- our practice uses the HIPAA-compliant Spruce Health app so you can communicate directly with the provider rather than an office voicemail.
  • Unlimited follow-ups- better management of chronic conditions
  • DPC Medication subscription option- affordable generic medications delivered right to your home
  • Discounted lab and radiology testing for cash-paying patients
  • Education and Lifestyle coaching- a newsletter and social media posts (coming soon) provide tips and tricks for better health in small, manageable segments.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at larissa@wingdpc.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

DPC is not health insurance. It is a model of care that is similar to a gym membership, where you pay a monthly, predictable fee and can access the benefits as many times as you would like during that month. The DPC model allows providers to spend more time with you to help get to the root cause of your symptoms, rather than a 7-15-minute fee-for-service visit that can only address one issue at a time. You do not have to wait weeks to see your provider or request refills and you can be seen in the comfort of your home rather than sitting in a waiting room to see your provider.

Since urgent care, emergent care, and specialty care are often unpredictable, we encourage members to carry some form of health insurance to help pay for unplanned and catastrophic expenses. Many DPC members choose to carry a high deductible insurance plan or participate in a Health Sharing organization. Wing DPC will do what we are able to inside our provider's scope of practice, but understand that chronic illnesses may require routine follow-up with Cardiology, Pulmonology, Oncology, Orthopedics, Dermatology, etc.

Yes, you can use your insurance for medications, lab work, and imaging. We also have negotiated lower prices with several companies for cash-paying patients and can provide you with an estimate to see which is more cost-effective for you.

While it may feel that way with the personalized unlimited care, DPC is different than concierge medicine. Often, concierge providers still bill insurance as well as charge large retainer fees. We are also not available 24/7 or have any hospital privileges.

We hope you’ll stay with us for the long run, but we understand that plans change. If you need to cancel, simply let us know 30 days in advance. Call, text, or email the office, and we’ll guide you through the next steps.

If you decide to return in the future, we’d be happy to welcome you back. A $200 re-enrollment fee will apply in addition to the first and last month's membership fee.
