Larissa Bell, Family Nurse Practitioner
My Story
Starting as an EMT-B at the age of 16, I have held many positions in healthcare including administrative assistant and medical tech in my local ER during nursing school. I then completed 21 years of bedside nursing and leadership at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in the Cardiac ICU, Progressive Cardiac Care, Med-Surg Telemetry, and Palliative Care units. I finished my Nurse Practitioner degree as a patient care coordinator in Interventional Radiology, and have gained experience as an NP in Primary Care and Endocrinology.
Wing Health Services LLC and Wing Direct Primary Care were started in 2025 to help meet the healthcare needs of my church and local community.
Why the name?
The name “Wing” comes from two sources of inspiration:
- Proverbs 3:27 – "Withhold not good (WiNG) from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thy hand to do it." This verse has shaped my approach to healthcare. I believe in using my love for medicine to serve others and provide the care our system often lacks.
- The Butterfly – Just like a caterpillar transforms through a tough process into something beautiful, health struggles can lead to remarkable growth. I’m here to support you through those challenges and help you transform your health into something truly beautiful.
